This practice report is based on the translation of scenic introductions in Lijiang.As scenic introductions in Lijiang are an important medium for spreading Chinese traditional culture to foreign tourists,the translation of these scenic introductions has a great significance.Scenic introductions mainly includes Ancient Town of Lijiang,Black Dragon Lake,Yulong Snow Mountain,Ancient Town of Shuhe,Lashi Lake and Valley in Moonlight.Firstly,the Skopos theory is chosen as the guiding theory in the whole process of translation in the report.The Skopos theory mainly emphasizes that translation strategies will be determined by the purpose of translation.The translator discusses the features of tourism text and its influence on the translation of words,syntactic and textual levels.Secondly,under the guidance of Skopos theory,detailed examples are analyzed and various translation methods and strategies are explored.Finally,the report generalizes the methods for the translation of tourism text,including transliteration,free translation,recombination,transliteration and literal translation,transliteration and free translation,and omission.This translation can provide some reference and suggestions for the translation of similar texts,improve the quality of translation,and achieve the purpose of promoting traditional culture.
