This is a translation report of the autobiographical novel NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,YES.As one of the works of famous Israeli advertising designer Gideon Amichay,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,YES is lively and humorous in its use of words and adopts many elliptical sentences,simple sentences and rhetorical devices.Therefore,the focus of the report is on how to reproduce its style.Based on related translation theories,this report has analyzed the translation of its vocabulary,syntax and discourse in order to reproduce its style.Firstly,on lexical level,the proper nouns should be translated correctly;when the translators choose meanings of specific words,they should focus on the whole content of the text and the translation should cater to the reading habit of target readers.In addition,amplification is an effective way to achieve the effect of expressions.Secondly,on the syntactic level,adding connectives,adjusting orders of sentence and separating sentences are all effective strategies to improve the acceptance of readers.Thirdly,on the discourse level,free translation and amplification have also been employed to achieve cohesion and coherence.The translation will not only enable readers to experience the making of an advertisement tycoon,gain inspiration and enlightenment,but shed light on the translation practice of the similar works as well.The task therefore has literary,commercial and translation values.
