With the development of educational theory and educational practice,teachers have paid more and more attention to students’ homework evaluation.Homework evaluation has became one of the key tasks of school education.Through homework evaluation,teachers can not only timely understand the problems in teaching,but also helpful to change teaching design and teaching methods to improve teaching effect.However,in the practice of teaching,in spite of the rapid development of other fields in education evaluation,compared with the evaluation of teachers and students’ academic achievements,the research on homework evaluation is still relatively weak,which is not conducive to the full play of homework evaluation.From the perspective of humanism and interaction theory,the dissertation will make an analysis of English homework for senior primary school students,trying to find out shortcomings of teachers’ comments in students’ homework as well and to make some suggestions to improve homework evaluation.This study intends to raise the following four questions: 1.What are the existing problems in the assessment of English homework in primary school? 2.What are the causes of these problems? 3.How to evaluate primary school English homework from the perspective of Humanism? 4.What are the feasible evaluation methods? In order to these questions,this study collects English homework samples from three key primary schools and three village primary schools in Minquan County of Shangqiu City of Henan Province,and conducts questionnaires and interviews among some of their teachers and all fifth grade and sixth grade students.Based on the research at home and abroad,this study takes Humanism and Interaction Theory as theoretical basis.This study analyzes the existing problems in primary school English homework evaluation through text analysis,questionnaire survey and interview.After analysis,it is found that the current problems of primary school English teacher’s homework evaluation are as follows: the symbol of the English homework in primary school is monotonous;homework evaluation emphasizes results over process;teachers do not have adequate knowledge of homework evaluation;evaluation method is diversified;reflection on the homework evaluation is not adequate.So in this study,the author designs homework evaluation depending on the types of homework and the different kinds of comments.In addition,a questionnaire survey was conducted to test the effectiveness of the improved homework evaluation method.It proves that most studentsbelieve that not only the richness,pertinence and effectiveness of teachers’ homework evaluation are enhanced,but also the students’ enthusiasm in doing homework and interest in learning English are significantly improved.
