Tan dun(1957.8.18--),born in Hunan province,is an internationally renowned Chinese composer and conductor.His childhood environment and experience of studying abroad enable his music to transcend many boundaries between classical and modern,eastern and western,multimedia and performing arts.His music moves freely between traditional Chinese music and contemporary western music,and he is good at injecting his own organic ideas and sentimental feelings towards his homeland into his music.Based on the work “Water Concerto” also known as “Water Concerto-for water and orchestra”(Water Concerto for water percussion and orchestra)as the research object,writing technique as the research content,to analyze the features of the language and the behind meaning of the metaphor.This paper is divided into three chapters to analyze “Water Concerto”.The first chapter is the composer's creation concept.Through combing the foundation of multiculture,the author analyzes the reasons for the formation of the composer's creation style and the composer's attempt in organic music.The second chapter is about water instruments and their applications.It introduces ten kinds of water instruments and the improvisation of water instruments.The third chapter makes a specific analysis of the creation techniques of the work,including the four aspects of rhythm and rhythm,pitch materials,orchestration techniques and overall structure,and summarizes the humanistic connotation behind the work.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the creation technology from the perspective of music creation,and to understand the cultural connotation behind the music endowed by the composer's unique musical language.
