The vocational education concept of "Grand Vocational Education View" is the summation of the "Macro-vocational education" and related vocational education theories first proposed by Mr.Huang Yanpei in the 1920 s,and has a profound influence on the Chinese education community for decades.The theory,which is deeply influenced by John Dewey’s pragmatism,mainly emphasizes the educational views of ‘lifelong learning’,‘mobilizing all forces to run vocational education’,‘cultivating professional core competence’,‘cultivating professional ethics’ and so on.The theory is forward-looking,extensive and practical,and has practical significance in the reform and development of modern vocational education in China.Exploring the training mode of opera talents from the perspective of "Grand Vocational Education View" is an effective channel to integrate the training of traditional Chinese art talents with the development of the times.Compared with the narrower "Small Vocational Education View",the concept of "Grand Vocational Education View" conforms to the development trend of international vocational education,and is conducive to the cultivation of multiple and compound opera performance talents who adapt to the trend of the times.In this article,the author explores the vocational education of Wanbang opera art from the perspective of "Grand Vocational Education View".Wanbang is a traditional drama that spreads in Neixiang County,Nanyang,Henan and its surrounding areas,and is a rare local drama of the Han nationality in the Central Plains region.Wanbang’s distinctive singing vocals("High Eight Degrees Vomit Sound Coloratura")and the main musical instrument(Banghu)have distinct regional style characteristics,which were approved by the State Council to be listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006.Due to the particularity of Wanbang opera,other opera talents(stage actors)can not be introduced into Wanbang opera,so talent training has always been an important part of Wanbang’s artistic inheritance and development.After the reform and opening up,Wanbang art established the "Neixiang County Wanbang Art Inheritance and Protection Center" with the support of the government and began to independently cultivate Wanbang art performance talents.Today,the Neixiang Wanbang Art Center has formed a relatively systematic talent training mode of Wanbang opera.The scarcity and uniqueness of Wanbang are representative for other rare operas,and the existing talent training mode of Wanbang is exemplary for other rare operas.Therefore,in this article,the author starts with a case study.Through her own field research,the existing talent training mode of Wanbang Art Center is investigated and summarized,and the comprehensive literature analysis is carried out in combination with the vocational education thought of " Grand Vocational Education View ".Based on the analysis of the talent cultivation of "Wanbang" in Henan local rare operas,this author grasps the characteristics of rare operas and the problems and challenges faced by the talent cultivation mode,and puts forward the conception and blueprint of the talent training mode of Wanbang art,which is in line with the concept of "Grand Vocational Education View" and has applicability.This concept and blueprint have a high academic innovation for the inheritance and development of the rare drama art of Wanbang opera,and provide a reference for the continuous optimization of talent training models for other rare dramas.
