With the coming of economic globalization,more and more countries pay attention to the study of world language.Just like Chinese reading,English reading is crucial to language learning,and it is also necessary to master and use reading skills in the process of language learning.However,during the internship,I found that the enthusiasm of students for English reading class was not very high,and they could only study seriously under the supervision and supervision of teachers.In this study,the blended learning model is applied to the reading teaching class of primary school English,trying to make changes to the reading class of primary school English,which can stimulate students' internal learning desire and motivation,make them fall in love with English reading,and use appropriate reading methods in the reading process.Blended learning mode is based on modern information technology,the whole learning process is divided into three parts,to explore independently and group communication as the main means of learning,to question the forerunner to model the main line,to teacher evaluation,students mutual and students as the main evaluation way,to active learning as the goal,is one of the constructivism learning theory and schema theory as the theoretical basis of the comprehensive learning mode.During my internship in a primary school in Huaibei city,Anhui province,the author conducted an experiment on the blended learning model.Through the questionnaire survey on the experimental classes in the early stage,it was found that the pupils had a positive attitude towards English,but they were easy to lose their concentration in class,and they had a strong dependence on teachers when solving problems.By using the research methods of questionnaire survey,experiment and interview,and analyzing the relevant data with SPSS21.0,this study aims to verify the following hypotheses:1.The blended learning model has a positive effect on the improvement of English reading performance of primary school students;2.The blended learning model can improve the interest of primary school students in English reading;3.Students have a positive attitude towards the use of blended learning model in English reading teaching.The experimental period of this experiment is more than three months.Two classes are selected,one is the experimental class,the other is the control class.The experimental class adopts the blended learning mode,while the control class adopts the normal learning mode.The English teacher of the two classes is the same teacher,and the textbook of the first volume of the sixth grade is also used.The following conclusions are drawn:1.The blended learning mode can improve the English reading performance of primary school students.After analyzing and comparing the pre-reading and post-reading test scores of the experimental class and the control class,it is found that there is a significant difference in the pre-reading and post-reading test scores of the experimental class(p=0.007),while there is no significant difference in the pre-reading and post-reading test scores of the control class(p=0.803).Meanwhile,the average pre-test score of the experimental class was 92.52,and the average post-test reading score was 95.92.The English reading score of the experimental class was improved after the experiment,while the average reading score of the control class was not significantly improved after the experiment.2.The blended learning mode can improve the interest of primary school students in English reading and have a positive attitude towards the blended learning mode.The author conducted a questionnaire survey to investigate whether the students in the experimental class and the control class had changed their interest and attitude towards English reading before and after the experiment.Through the measurement results,it was found that there was no significant difference in the attitude and interest of the experimental class and the control class towards English reading before the experiment(p=0.07),and there was a significant difference in the attitude and interest towards English reading after the experiment(p=0.000).There was a significant difference(p=0.000)in the pre-test data of the experimental class,and the students' interest in English reading increased,while there was no significant difference in the pre-test data of the control class(p=0.584).To sum up,the data analysis in this study shows that the blended learning model can improve students' English reading scores and increase their interest in English reading.After the completion of the experiment,the students in the experimental class were interviewed,and the students held a positive attitude towards the use of the mixed learning model in the English reading class.
