A Report On The Translation Of An Introduction To The Loader Accessory Application

The translation of the loader accessory belongs to the category of sci-tech translation.With the deepening and increasing development of the sci-tech globalization,the translation of loader accessory is showing its importance of the sci-tech exchanges and communication.In order to have a better exchange of sci-tech information,this paper has selected An Introduction to the Loader Accessory Application as the source text of the translation project as Chinese-English translation practice report writing to increase the understanding of the loader accessory translation.In consideration of the high degree of professionalism,objectivity,practicality and technicality of the source text,it is suitable as the source text for mechanical translation.This paper takes Reiss’ Text Typology Theory as the theoretical framework and takes An Introduction to the Loader Accessory Application as a case study to summarize the translation methods of mechanical texts in lexical level,sentential constituents level,sentential structure level and textual level to achieve the dynamic equivalence of the source and target text so as to improve the quality and skills of the sci-tech translation.This translation practice report consists of five chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background,research significance and report structure of the translation project.The second chapter interprets the entire translation process and explains the tasks of pre-translation,while-translation and post translation in detail,including the analysis of the source text of An Introduction to the Loader Accessory Application commissioned by the X company staff and the translation methods,and the choice-making of translation tools;The third chapter is devoted to illustrating the theoretical framework of this translation practice report.It summarizes the core contents and the principles followed by the Reiss’ s text typology theory,coupled with a careful analysis of the guiding significance of the text type to the English translation of An Introduction to the Loader Accessory Application.The fourth chapter lays increasing emphasis on the case study from the perspective of text typology theory.Combined with the translator’s translation practice,it is an emerging focus on the translation at the lexical level,sentential level and textual level,with concrete examples and centers around explaining what strategies the author need to adopt to solve the translation problems under the guidance of the text typology theory,during the Chinese-English translation of the sci-tech text.The fifth chapter makes a conclusion of the translation practice.In summary,this report takes the Chinese-English translation of An Introduction to the Loader Accessory Application as a case study to analyze the selected example of the mechanical translation from the perspective of Reiss’ s text typology theory.In the meantime,this practice report makes an attempt to show that Reiss’ s text typology theory has a strong explanatory power and practical guidance for the translation of mechanical texts,by means of having a careful and detailed investigation into the translation of the loader accessory application.
