In 1995,the release of the animation film "Ghost in the Shell" directed by Oshii Mamoru made the world re-recognize the depth of Japanese animated films.Its avant-garde sci-fi setting shows a unique picture of the future network society in the era when the computer is still underdeveloped.The exquisite and realistic art style perfectly displays the unique regional style of Asia on the screen.They are all regarded as the holy script of cyberpunk.In addition to the gorgeous exterior,the most amazing thing for the audience is the ultimate philosophical proposition of "What do I do for me" that the director discussed in limited movie time.Since then,Oshii has entered a broader international perspective from a small Japanese animation director.With the unprecedented topic and hot debate raised by the "Ghost in the Shell" in the international arena,this situation has changed the stereotype of Japanese animation.Oshii Mamoru has also got more opportunities to create his magnificent image.The world,deservedly became the vanguard of Japanese video entertainment with Miyazaki,and his own thoughts,image styles and even personal resumes have become the focus of attention of scholars and audiences in the industry.The video works of Oshii Mamoru are never pure entertainment.The rich ideological connotation and personal taste in the video texts make people repeatedly relive the works.Oshii Mamoru is a creator who is willing to express.Almost every work is filled with huge information,and he loses a part of the fearful audience,but he still enjoys it.The author is very sorry about this.In order to more clearly interpret his image language and clarify the core of his discourse,the author decided to use the semiotic theory method to conduct detailed text research on Oshii’s video works.After the theoretical craze of the age,the study of semiotics in the field of film art has become a theory.For Oshii Mamoru,who took the lead in breaking the boundary between film and animation in the new era of technology,he is the research object of film semiotics.Matching.Through the inductive combing of the semiotic theory system and the era of Oshii’s works,this thesis will carry out the investigation and study of the symbolic elements,sentence structure,image rhetoric and code parsing in the language of Oshii’s works,and finally comb out its animated film.The core of thought and grammatical rules in the language,in the hope that readers can re-recognize the cultural significance and artistic value of his works.
