This paper mainly analyzes the performance techniques and musical styles of op.120 No.1,which was composed by Johannes Brahms,a German composer in the romantic period, during which Richard Milford wrote the Clarinet Works Muhlfeld).Milford was a famous clarinet player at that time.In 1894,Brahms composed two Clarinet Sonatas numbered 120-1,which are the last two of his chamber music works. These two works fully show the characteristics of clarinet's high and low pitch conversion, timbre change, strength contrast, etc.,and show Brahms' s skillful writing techniques and elegant musical characteristics in his later years. These two works are regarded as treasures in the clarinet music library. In this paper, the author will analyze the four movements of this work, and interpret it with breath, intonation, fingering and other performance skills combined with music. For the future performance of this work to provide some reference.
