| In ancient Lintao region,cultures were diverse and nationalities lived together,and there was a phenomenon of communication and blending between national cultures.In Wolong Temple in Lintao,Taoism,Chinese Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism coexist harmoniously.Since then,a situation of multi-religious cultural exchange and coexistence has been formed,which is of typical significance.The early legends and documents of Wolong Temple show that the temple was built in the late Tang Dynasty and was abolished several times later.The temple buildings and the gods worshiped in Wolong Temple belong to different religions,which reflects some characteristics of the coexistence of the three religions.On the one hand,the three religions coexist in one temple;on the other hand,they have their own space.They are different and have certain religious boundaries.Praying for death is the most important religious activity in Wolong Temple.The ritual and proclamation of death in Buddhism and Taoism have their own characteristics and certain commonness.The relevant rituals are well preserved and are still being passed on,reflecting the relationship between monasteries and society and their functions.The Wolong Temple’s important law meeting is highly integrated with tourism,and relevant government departments and temples jointly organize and implement it,reflecting the development characteristics of contemporary temples. |
