The construction of the “Belt and Road” is a major strategic concept put forward by the central committee and an important measure to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.President Xi Jinping stressed that the “Belt and Road” initiative proposed by China aimed to enhance connectivity among countries along the traditional land and maritime silk roads,so as to achieve common economic prosperity, trade complementarity and people-to-people connectivity. The construction of “Belt and Road” provides a new opportunity for cultural exchange and dialogue between countries, and needs to let the culture go out first, uses culture to connect history, reality and future together,so as to build a strategic framework of globalization and realize the all-round development of countries along the belt and road. This requires both “hard” foundations such as infrastructure, economic and trade development as cornerstones, also need “soft” supports such as cultural factors as boosters. The Chinese culture is an open and inclusive development system, which plays a “silent role” in the trade between China and countries along the belt and road. Therefore, the impact of cultural exchanges on China’s trade cooperation with other countries should not be underestimated. It is a great practical significance to study the impact of cultural exchanges between China and countries along the “Belt and Road” route on export trade, which can provide valuable decision-making for promoting all-round and multi-field exchanges and cooperation between China and countries along the route, accelerate our country from “the country with large trade volume” to “the country with strong trade capacity”.Taking the construction of “Belt and Road” as the background, this paper firstly sorted out previous researches, used Citespace software to grasp the research hotspots, and determined the research subject. Then it described the status quo of trade cooperation and cultural exchange between China and countries along the belt and road, and carried out a multidimensional statistical analysis on the trade cooperation and cultural exchange forms between China and countries along “Belt and Road”.Furthermore, based on the panel data of export trade between China and 43 sample countries along the “Belt and Road” from 2006 to 2016,from the perspective of the interaction between culture and trade, the global principal component analysis method is used to construct a comprehensive evaluation index system of cultural communication effect, which includes multidimensional indicators of educational exchange, media communication, civilian communication and diplomatic cooperation. To quantify and evaluate the effect of Chinese culture in the economies along the “Belt and Road”.Finally, taking the comprehensive evaluation score of cultural communication as the core explanatory variable, the spatial panel dubin model was established to study the influence of Chinese cultural promotion on China’s export trade, and the spillover effect of culture on China’s export trade was analyzed through direct effect analysis and indirect effect analysis. The study found that the overall trade volume between China and “Belt and Road” economies has greatly improved, but the growth of trade volume has obvious intercontinental differences.Culture output can obviously promote China’s export trade, and has obvious spatial spillover effects, trading partners to import our products not only depends on the country’s economic development level, and the size of the market demand, trade openness, depends more on trading partners of consumer identity of exporter of culture, values and the establishment of friendly feelings. In addition, the promotion effect of culture on trade is not limited to single channel, but also influenced by trade activities and cultural exchanges between other countries, resulting in external effects.China’s cultural exchange promotes the export trade of countries along the belt and road mainly through official cultural communication and folk cultural communication.By measuring the spatial effect of trade export from three dimensions of cultural official communication, folk communication and media communication,it is found that the folk cultural exchange has the largest promoting effect on trade export, and shows a strong spatial influence.
