| Recently,China has been carried out the basic education reform vigorously.As science and technology is developing rapidly,we notice that a great galaxy of the multimedia teaching equipment are highly appreciated by most teachers and students and that the links between IT(information technology)and education are getting increasingly closer.Nowadays,the innovation of teaching aids in China enjoys an unprecedented increase in our country.It is known to us all that the Interactive Whiteboard(IWB),as one of the latest teaching aids,boasts various functions in classroom teaching.It can not only foster students’ interests,improve their efficiency of English learning,and promote the classroom communication and interaction between teachers and students,but it is also beneficial to help students to gain the key competencies of English learning.With the deep research on the teaching based on the use of interactive whiteboard,the deep integration between interactive whiteboard and classroom teaching in some subjects has attracted more and more attention.In order to further integrate IWB with the middle English teaching and improve teachers’ application level,this paper focuses on how to use interactive whiteboard to optimize middle school English teaching on the theoretical basis of the optimization teaching theory,the audio-visual multi-moding teaching theory,the constructivism learning theory,the behaviorism learning theory and blending teaching theory.The thesis finds out the problems in English teaching based on the application of IWB by focusing on the teaching design,the implementation of teaching procedure and the evaluation on teaching results.Here,the author carried out the study by conducting a questionnaire survey and an interview between students and teachers so as to collect their opinions about the current English teaching situations,and then input the data into SPSS22.0.Altogether we chose 20 high-quality English classes as the case study from the 11th(2018)Observation on the Teaching and Practice of National Creative Classes in Middle School and Primary School.Finally,the author draws the conclusion and proposes the optimizing strategies on the application of IWB based on the analysis of the 20 cases.What is more,the author summarizes the study and foresees the future application of IWB in middle school English teaching.The writer hopes to provide first-line teachers with some references on the use of IWB so as to promote future English teaching and improve the teachers’ level of using the teaching aids. |
