The orphans and disabled people in welfare homes often have social adaptation problems such as emotions, behaviors, and interpersonal adaptation, which seriously affect their physical and mental health development and social integration, resulting in their lack of independent living ability.Although social adaptability is related to individual personality traits, the main reason for the social adaptation problem of this group is the closed living space where the welfare institution is out of touch with the social environment. The orphans and the disabled cannot obtain a sense of success and belonging in this environment.A sense of security. And the management of the hospital is the dominator of power and discourse. The orphans and the disabled are regarded as“abnormal”and “pathological”.This state of”missing power”also exacerbates the social adaptation obstacles of this group.Taking the social work practice of Wuhan A Welfare Institute as an example, this study attempts to integrate the case work and the group work into the society of the orphans and the disabled in the practice framework of the “individual initiative mode”and”external promotion mode”of the theory of enrichment.adaptability.Through the three stages of”preparation phase-intervention phase-review phase”,the preparatory phase mainly collects relevant data through participatory observation method and interview method, and carries out the case and analysis. The intervention phase consists of two processes, firstly internal.During the construction phase, the project leader is guided to participate in the group activities, and the advantages of the case are strengthened through interviews, followed by the external promotion stage.By recruiting new groups, the project leader is transformed into”enhancement of social adaptability”.The role of the group, through the transformation into the role of "manager" and "participant",strengthens the interaction between the client and the teammember, thus forming an external driving force. The review phase mainly reviews and summarizes and consolidates the effectiveness of empowerment. The evaluation results prove that the interventional action path designed by the enrichment practice framework has certain effects on the emotional adaptation, behavioral adaptation and interpersonal adaptation of the orphans and the disabled in the welfare institution, and the social adaptability is generally improved. This paper further expands the practice field of the theory of enrichment, and explores a feasible path to enhance the development of individual subjectivity in the centralized field of authority in the mainstream practice mode of enrichment. At the same time, paying attention to this group from the perspective of life-long socialization provides a practical reference for how social work can improve the social adaptability of orphans and disabled people in welfare homes.
