Study On The Media Imaga Of E-Sports Stars

With the advent of the information society,the media image becomes an important topic that we concern on.It is very difficult for most people to have contact with the eSports star before the webcast appeared,so the media is the main way to know the eSports star in our daily life.The author selected all the reports on the theme of e-sports stars in " China Electronic Athletics " from 2007 to 2017 as research subjects.The first part of this paper mainly describes the research background,research significance and methods,as well as the results of previous studies.As a fundamental part of this paper,this part also sorts out the two concepts involved in the paper and try to explains the choice of media and time period.In the end of the part,the author will tell you how to create categories.The second part and the third part,which are the main parts of the paper,analyzed 1447 valid samples by Content Analysis and systematically analyzed the eSports star involved in the relevant reports.The third part will also summarizing the media image of eSports stars shaped by the magazine of China Electronic Athletics.The forth part will sum up the main problem in the process of constructing the image of eSports star and make a suggestion about how to make a good image of eSports star.Through quantifying the related reports of "E-sports",the author pointed out the way and characteristics of the image of e-sports stars.Through cross-analysis,it has given a certain degree of qualitative explanation and pointed out that its report structure is in line with traditional sports reports.The main disadvantages are mainly heroism and sexual objectification.Based on this,it is recommended that the mainstream media focus on the E-sports stars,and recognize their strong appeal to young audiences.They should improve their gender awareness,and shape healthy image of E-sports stars.
