The urban marathon is very late in China,but it has a strong momentum.It is the influence of marathon in each city to hold the marathon.As a large sports event,the city marathon plays an important role in spreading the image of the city,promoting the economic growth,shaping the government image and promoting the influence of the city.The essence of the communication of city image is the exchange of information and the sharing of meaning.Every day,the city has a huge amount of information,such as sports events,forums,ceremonies and so on,for the integration of urban information and the reproduction of meaning.Unlike big sports events,the city marathon has lower entry threshold and stronger participation,and it can interact with all aspects of the city.The media attributes and information integration functions of the urban marathon make it possible to integrate the symbol of the city image and establish the imagination of a city through the mass media and the Internet.At the same time,by participating in the marathon,people can feel the city's landscape characteristics,cultural features and urban functions.This paper will divide into two dimensions: media imagination and real experience,and expound the propagation process and communication mechanism of city image.The establishment of media imagination includes the display of city images before the marathon,the traditional media and how the Internet uses the marathon media to increase the coverage of the city,improve the urban exposure rate,and the interaction and communication between micro-blog and WeChat because of the marathon in the media.The actual experience is focused on the existence of urban entities,including the interpretation of physical elements such as urban architecture,road,traffic,infrastructure and other physical elements,and the display of spiritual elements such as urban spirit and civic spirit,as well as the urban government management ability,economic efficiency and cultural connotations reflected by the events.The process of urban image transmission is essentially a process of coding and decoding.It is not a simple symbol stacking,but a symbolic meaning,and the sharing of meaning needs to communicate and communicate between the host and the object in this process.During the marathon,urban migrants increase and the types of people arediverse.The people of different cities,different classes and different professions gather together,exchange information and share experience in the same city space.People who are strangers to each other encourage each other,cheer for running friends,exchange experience and experience of the competition,and form a common space for information exchange and sharing of meaning.After the game,these people return to their own space,at this time,people themselves become the medium of transmission of information,the dissemination of information about urban information has become more extensive and more influential.
