With the development of economy market,the improvement of people's living standard and the value shock brought by social transformation in recent years,materialism is becoming more and more popular in China.Materialism is a kind of personal value which emphasizes the importance of material wealth.The primary goal of materialistic values is to acquire and own property,which is a specific way of life.What are the views of contemporary junior middle school students born in the era of China's reform and opening up? This is a question worthy of our consideration.In view of this,understanding the current situation of the materialistic values of junior high school students,and studying the influencing factors of forming and developing the materialistic values of junior high school students have important practical significance for guiding the materialistic values of junior high school students and improving the current middle school values education system.This study takes 461 junior high school students in Nanchang city,Jiangxi province and Shucheng county,Lu'an city,Anhui province as the research objects.By means of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview,the present situation of materialistic values of junior high school students is investigated and analyzed.Research conclusions:(1)The average of materialistic values for junior high school students is 2.52,which is at a medium level.On each dimension level,they are sorted by the average size,which are obtained(2.76)> happy(2.44)> successful(2.35).(2)There are significant differences in the materialistic values of junior high school students in terms of whether they are the only child and the demographic variables of grade.(3)Through the interview analysis of Junior high school students,materialistic values of junior middle school students have grade differentiation in behavioral performance,and influenced by three factors: mass media,family environment,students themselves.Meanwhile,school valce education for educating junior high school students materialistic values lack of certain educational goals,educational content and way of education path.Countermeasures and suggestions: based on the angle of school moral education,this paper puts forward feasible countermeasures and suggestions of guiding the materialistic values of junior high school students.
