Chinese reading teaching in junior high school is committed to cultivating students' ability of independent reading.However,after researching,the author found that there is a dilemma in Chinese reading for junior high school students,and the reading ability of them still needs to be further improved.Improving the reading ability of junior high school students,reducing students' fears and stimulating students' interest in reading have become the keys to Chinese reading teaching in junior high schools.Therefore,the author puts forward the idea of introducing picture books into the Chinese reading teaching in junior high school.This can reduce the difficulty of reading,allow junior high school students to read books independently,and effectively improve the independent reading ability of junior high school students.The reading of the picture book is consistent with the reading status and ability of junior high school students,which can help to trigger students' interest in reading,and enable junior high school students to generate a positive emotion from interesting reading.Besides,the introduction of illustrated picture books into the Chinese reading teaching in junior high school is conducive to the achievement of goals of junior high school reading teaching.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part: The author first carried out a theoretical review of the subject,clarified the deductive history of the picture book,the related concepts of picture book reading,and reading teaching and reading teaching in junior high school,and discussed the value of picture book reading being applied to Chinese reading teaching in junior middle school.The second part: In order to understand the reality of the current junior high school reading teaching,the author conducted a questionnaire survey.In the survey,the author found that junior high school students do have difficulties in reading,including the following aspects: first,junior high school students are not motivated to read;second,junior high school students have difficulties in reading comprehension;third,junior high school students do not have good habits in reading.Through further investigation and analysis,the author found that the main reasons for the difficulty in reading for junior high school students are as follows: first,teachers' guidance in reading for students is not in place;second,teachersignore the evaluation of students' reading results;third,teachers lack innovation in the process of reading teaching;and fourth,teachers do not pay attention to the application of picture book reading.The third part: in order to correct the bias of teachers' reading teaching and help junior high school students break through the dilemma of reading,the author believes that it is very necessary to introduce the picture book reading into the Chinese reading teaching of the junior high school.In order to better apply the picture book to the Chinese reading teaching in junior high school,the author proposes the following strategies: first,choose the picture book to enrich the reading experience of junior high school students;second,use the picture book to display a vivid class;third,expand the picture book,and try to diversify the reading activities;and fourth,establish a reading evaluation mechanism.
