Purpose:The eccentric-concentric transition time means that during training,an isometric contraction phase of different duration is added between the eccentric contraction and the concentric contraction of the muscle. The conversion of muscle eccentric contraction to concentric contraction needs to be done at a specific joint angle. The greater the load the muscle can withstand at this particular angle, the better the braking effect of the muscle on the external load after eccentric contraction, the faster it can be.The completion of the concentric contraction, thereby overcoming the external load in a shorter time. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of this training method on muscle strength by combining different eccentric-concentric transition times in resistance exercises.Method: The research object of this study is 18 male students of Beijing Sports University with sports training experience. The subjects were divided into three groups: A,B,and C.The subjects were subjected to a 0s eccentric-concentric transition time,a 2s eccentric-concentric transition time, and a 4s eccentric-concentric transition time resistance exercise.Ten weeks of experimental intervention. The training method uses a flat bench press, which requires 45 degrees between the arm and the torso and 90 degrees of the elbow. The experimenter uses the stopwatch to control the eccentric-concentric transition time. The intensity of the three groups of training methods was compared using a subjective physical sensation rating scale(RPE).The test data of 1RM bench press, upper arm circumference and chest circumference, movement speed and output power before and after the training intervention were statistically analyzed..Result: Before and after the experiment, the 1RM bench presses of A,B and C groups were improved. The 0s eccentric-concentric transition time group and the 2s eccentric-concentric transition group had no significant difference before and after training(p>0.05),4s eccentric-concentric transformation. There were significant differences before and after training in 4s eccentric-concentric transition group(p<0.05).The effect of muscle circumference of the three groups increased before and after the experiment of the 4s eccentric-concentric transition group was the most significant(p<0.05).The movement speed before and after the experiment was the most significant in the 0s eccentric-concentric transition group(p<0.05).In the muscle output power before and after the experiment, the 0s eccentric-concentric transition group had the most significant effect(p<0.05).Conclusion :(1)Three kinds of resistance exercises combined with different eccentric-concentric transition time have certain effects on the development of maximum strength, muscle circumference, movement speed and muscle output.(2)The training effect of the training group with the eccentric-concentric transition time added to the maximum strength and muscle circumference was more significant than that of the training group without the eccentric-concentric transition time.(3)The training effect of the group with longer eccentric-concentric transition time is greater for the maximum strength and muscle circumference than for the group with a shorter transition time.(4)The group without the eccentric-concentric transition time has a more significant effect on the muscle movement speed and muscle output power than the group with the eccentric-concentric transition time.
