As one of the basic ways to implement educational informationization,information technology discipline is rooted in contextualized and problem-oriented teaching,which is conducive to cultivating students' initiative in learning.The "Basic Education Information Technology Curriculum Standards(2012 Edition)" clearly states that the main task of information technology teaching in junior high school is to fully stimulate students' initiative in learning,and to summarize their understanding of information technology and its characteristics in the process of learning,so as to comprehend and master the way of learning.The application of information technology to solve problems in the process of forming their own unique insights.Evaluate things objectively and comprehensively,and exert bold imagination to shape their own ideas.The cultivation of students' learning initiative depend on each section of information technology,which is necessary to ensure the smooth development of each section of information technology teaching activities.The key to the smooth development of classroom activities lies in the stimulation and maintenance of students' classroom learning motivation.The ARCS motivation model proposed by American educator Keller has repeatedly explored and won praises for its integration with subject teaching practice.It does not simply define the motives,but explores the essentials of motivation on the basis of practice.Attach importance to the motivation of students in the learning process,and pay attention to the maintenance of the best level of students' motivation.Applying the ARCS motivation model to junior high school information technology teaching,promoting the optimization and upgrading of instructional design,mobilizing students' motivation for learning,prompting them to participate in classroom teaching activities actively,completing the learning tasks earnestly set by teachers,and sharing and presenting their own views boldly,develop the habit of active practice and innovation.This article will follow the following steps to study: First,extensive and careful study of the literature,collate the correlation theory and research status of the ARCS motivation model;Second,the development of motivation survey scale to investigate the currentsituation of information technology learning motivation in junior high school,record the classroom behavior of teachers and students,analysis of Junior high school information technology learning motivation problems;Third,based on ARCS motivation model to design junior high school information technology learning motivation strategy and application process;Fourth,combined with specific teaching content,implement learning motivation strategies in teaching activities;Fifth,analyze the application effect of ARCS motivation model in junior high school information technology teaching;Sixth,combing research conclusions,innovations and deficiencies,and making future prospects for research.
