The occupation has a significant effect on the earning and future development of workers.Every worker hopes to have a generous remuneration, fair job opportunities,a good working environment, equal promotion channels and bright prospects for development. The intergenerational mobility of workers can reflect the changes and developments in the social class,as well as the measures of social progress and equity.Since the establishment of China,China's higher education has undergone drastic changes;the measures such as the restoration of college entrance examination and the expansion of college enrollment have increased the number and the scale of higher education; The employment problem and intergenerational mobility of higher educated people have also attracted much attention, which has become a hot topic in the society. In our society, there is gender injustice and discrimination in women's access to education, family division of labor, seeking employment and so on.Combined with the social phenomena of various gender differences, this paper studies the gender differences of the intergenerational mobility of the higher educated people in order to understand the causes of the differences,so that the female and male higher education have equal employment power in choosing a job,and promote the benign movement of the overall higher education career intergenerational mobility.Understand the causes of the differences,so that women and men with higher education have equal employment power to choose a job, promote the overall higher education career intergenerational mobility of the benign movement. In this paper,we choose the data of the research group of the National Social Science Foundation in 2015 on whether universities can change their destiny(that is,whether higher education can promote social class mobility).Based on the theory of human capital, labor market segmentation, social mobility and stratification in sociology and intergenerational mobility theory, this paper makes a comparative analysis on the occupational intergenerational mobility of male and female higher educated people. This paper analyzes the distribution of professional class, education level and gender distribution of the whole higher educated people, and compares the difference between the children's and parents' professional class with their parents' professional class distribution and education level. It uses blau and ducan(1978)to measure the intergenerational mobility index and inheritance index, analyzes the intergenerational mobility of the whole higher educated people, and finds out the characteristics of change and development.Further more, the overall higher education population is divided into two data sets according to gender, compared between men and women. Then according to the law of the development of higher education in China, the data are divided according to the stage of higher education elitism and popularization, and the comparative analysis of the professional class and occupational intergenerational mobility of the educated people is carried out.Based on the analysis of the influencing factors,it is concluded that:male and female higher education overall show the trend of occupational intergenerational upward mobility;in different stages of higher education development, the difference between male and female higher educated people's occupational mobility index is significant, but male higher educated people occupational class average and mobility index mean are higher than female higher educated people, their occupational intergenerational mobility is better;male higher educated people's occupational intergenerational mobility level is higher than female. Finally, from the perspective of educational economics and sociology, this paper analyzes the reasons that lead to the above situation and gender difference in the intergenerational mobility of higher educated people:economic development and educational reform promote the intergenerational mobility of higher educated people as a whole;gender leads to the different acceptance of female and male higher education in the labor market;and signal screening affects the differentiation of occupational mobility of male and female higher educated people.According to the theory and practice, people put forward the corresponding policy suggestion according to the theory and practice,in order to expect to promote the benign movement of the higher education profession intergenerational mobility.
