The high intensity training method in fixed intensity type and the conventional pyramid training method in positive pyramid type are two commonly used training modes to develop the quality of strength.A large number of studies have proved that both training modes can improve the strength of athletes, but the research on which training mode can make fencing athletes obtain greater training benefit is very rare.Therefore,19 fencing athletes were divided into two matched groups for 6 weeks in the preparation period of the large cycle, respectively, using fixed high intensity and conventional positive pyramids for horizontal push and semi-squatting training, except for the two items according to the group of lying pushing and half squatting, respectively, using their respective groups of training. The rest of the resistance training adopted the same training mode. After 6 weeks of training, the training effects of the two training modes on the strength of upper limbs and lower extremities of fencing athletes were tested and compared. The results are as follows:1.The fixed high intensity horizontal push group with fixed high intensity training mode(group A),was better than that before the experiment.2.The conventional positive pyramid horizontal push group with conventional positive pyramid training mode(group B),was better than that before the experiment.3.By comparing the growth rate of lying push score between fixed high intensity horizontal push group(group A)and conventional positive pyramid horizontal push group(group B)before and after the experiment,it is found that the increase of lying push score in group B is more obvious than that in group A,which proves that the conventional positive pyramid training mode is more effective in the development of fencing athletes.4.The fixed high intensity semi-squatting group with fixed high intensity training mode(group B),was better than that before the experiment.5.The conventional positive pyramid semi-squatting group with conventional positive pyramid training mode(group D),was better than that of the former half squatting group.6.By comparing the growth rate of semi-squatting scores between fixed high-intensity semi-squatting group(group C)and conventional positive pyramid semi-squatting group(group D)before and after the experiment,it is found that the increase of semi-squatting score after group C experiment is more obvious than that of group D experiment, which proves that the conventional positive pyramid training mode is more effective to develop the half-squatting performance of fencing athletes.
