With the development of economy and society, the awareness of public rights has been constantly awakened, and the attention to the environment and health is growing day by day.The popularity and convenience of the Internet has also greatly improved the willingness and ability of the public to protect their own rights and interests. In recent years, the frequent occurrence of group incidents against potential environmental risks and threats in many areas of China not only brings adverse effects on economic and social development, but also poses severe challenges to the social governance of the government.Based on the theory of collaborative governance, through the research and analysis of the current governance situation of environmental risk mass events in recent years,it is found that there are still many problems in the collaborative governance of environmental risk mass events, such as the insufficient synergy of laws and regulations, the low level of government collaborative governance, the limited synergy of public participation, and the insufficient supervision and guidance of public opinion by the news media.Combined with the analysis of the causes of the problems in collaborative governance and the successful governance experience at home and abroad, this paper put forward the relevant path of collaborative governance of environmental risk mass events, that is,to give full play to the cooperative guarantee role of relevant laws and regulations,to play a leading role in improving the ability of collaborative governance by the government,to improve the mechanism of public collaborative participation, and to give full play to the collaborative role of media public opinion supervision and guidance.
