The Clinical Literature Study Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment Of Alzheimer's Disease

Objective:Search the clinical literature of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease,and explore the common therapies and medication characterist ics of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.Methods:Using Alzheimer's disease,AD,senile dementia,traditional Chinese medicine therapy,randomized controlled trial and other words as search terms,the published Chinese literatures from January 2008 to December 2017 were searched in CNKI.According to the set inclusion criteria,the retrieved documents were screened,the eligible documents were selected,the high-frequency drugs were separately counted,and the characteristics of high-frequency drugs were analyzed.Results:A total of 1129 papers were screened at the beginning.101 papers were included for the second time after reading the titles and abstracts,and excluded the papers that were summaries and didn't conform to the inclusion criteria.Papers that were not in accordance with the inclusion criteria and in accordance with the exclusion criteria were excluded by further reading the full text,and finally included 38 documents.A total of 2664 patients were included in 38 literature studies on the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.Among them,there were 1 article of undescribed age and 1 article of undescribed age and sex.Of the 37 articles,there were 7 cases of shedding,a total of 2573 patients,1406 males and 1167 females,34 articles were classified into gender groups,1224 cases in the treatment group,663 cases in males and 561 cases in females.There were 1192 cases in the control group,among which there are 647 males and 545 females.Except for 2 articles of shedding age and 4 articles of age description which is not detailed,the average age of 32 articles was 69.5 years old in the treatment group.The control group was 69.97 years old.Among 38 articles,there were 18 articles describing the educational level.The educational level of the two groups was 7.81 years in the treatment group and 7.7 years in the control group.In 38 articles,35 kinds of drugs were used for tonifying deficiency drugs,10 drugs for clearing away heat,9 drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,7 drugs for relieving exterior syndrome;5 drugs were used to dissipate phlegm and relieve asthma,5 drugs were used to calm the liver and put out wind,5 drugs were used to tranquilize the spirit,4 drugs were used to regulate qi,4 drugs were used to collect astringent drugs,2 drugs were used to promote dampness and 2 drugs for dispelling internal cold,One drug was used for purging medicine,one drug for hemostatic drug,one drug for orifice medicine,one drug for dispelling wind and dampness medicine,and one drug for attacking poison,insecticidal and itching drug.Among the drugs for tonifying deficiency,8kinds of drugs were used 55 times,5 kinds of blood-tonifying drugs were used for 47 times,9 kinds of drugs were used for 39 times,11 kinds of yintonics were used for 28 times.Of the 38 papers,there are 27 papers providing the traditional Chinese medicine therapy,accounting for 71%of the total.The treatment methods for the viscera,include the kidney treatment methods mentioned for 14 times,i.e.treatment methods of tonifying kidney and nourishing kidney,for the bone marrow treatment methods mentioned for 7 times,i.e.treatment methods of benefiting for the bone marrow and producing the bone marrow,for the treatment methods of spleen,including warming the spleen,nourishing the spleen and invigorating spleen,mentioned for 5 times,for the heart treatment methods mentioned for three times,including nourishing heart,and calming heart and so on,for the liver treatment methods mentioned for three times,including nourishing liver,tonifying liver and so on.Of the 38 articles,34 articles provided the prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine,with a total of 93 drugs.Among them,there are 24 kinds of drugs used more than 5 times,including traditional Chinese medicines with effects of inducing resuscitation,promoting blood circulation,tonifying kidney,tonifying Qi,nourishing blood and tranquilizing mind.The top 10 drugs with application frequency are Acorus tatarinowii,Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort,licorice,radix rehmanniae preparata,poria cocos,Astragalus,polygonum multiflorum,fructus lycii,polygala tenuifolia,and radix Angelicae sinensis.Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of Alzheimer's disease mainly includes treatments for kidney,bone marrow,spleen,heart and liver.Common treatments include tonifying kidney,nourishing kidney,nourishing bone marrow and producing bone marrow,warming spleen,nourishing spleen,tonifying spleen,nourishing heart,calming heart,nourishing liver and tonifying liver.The most frequently used Chinese medicines are those for inducing resuscitation,promoting blood circulation,invigorating kidney,tonifying Qi,nourishing blood and tranquilizing mind.The 10most commonly used Chinese medicines are Acorus tatarinowii,Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort,licorice,radix rehmanniae preparata,poria cocos,Astragalus,polygonum multiflorum,fructus lycii,polygala tenuifolia,and radix Angelicae sinensis.
