Research On The Current Situation Of Pharmaceutical Services Of OTC Chinese Patent Medicines For Children In Chain Pharmacies In Dalian City

Objective:Through the field investigation of the retail chain pharmacy in the fifth district of Dalian,this paper has understood the current situation of children’s over the counter Chinese patent medicine pharmaceutical care in chain pharmacies,summarized and analyzed the existing problems and deficiencies of children’s over the counter Chinese patent medicine pharmaceutical care in chain pharmacies in this region,and put forward some scientific and feasible solutions.It provides reference for standardizing the chain pharmacy for children’s use of over-the-counter Chinese patent medicine pharmaceutical care in China.Method:1.Literature research: through the school library,VIP and CNKI database,the state food and drug supervision and administration bureau official website to consult the related department and "children’s drugs","pharmaceutical care","retail pharmacy","traditional" and "over-the-counter" keyword related books,literature,policy documents,laws and regulations,etc.,understanding of the retail pharmacy in our country children’s drugs pharmaceutical care research and development status,collect the basic information.2.Field research: through field research,to understand the status quo of the pharmaceutical care of OTC Chinese medicines for children in chain drugstores.The methods of observation,interview and questionnaire were used.Observation method: to understand the pharmaceutical care process of OTC Chinese medicines for children by observing the relevant facilities of chain drugstores and the real drug purchase process of children’s families.Interview method: to understand the overall level and service quality of pharmaceutical care personnel through the interview of pharmacy technicians in chain pharmacies.Questionnaire survey: through the questionnaire survey to the families of the children,to understand the current situation of children’s medication and the needs of the families of the children for pharmaceutical care.Result:Chain pharmacies have fewer varieties of over-the-counter Chinese medicines for children,mostly 11 to 20;the relevant facilities are not perfect.Only 7 chain pharmacies have set up pharmaceutical service areas and carried out publicity activities,which have nothing to do with the rational use of children,non-prescription drugs and proprietary Chinese medicines.The proportion of pharmacy technicians in chain pharmacies is 83%,while the proportion of licensed pharmacists is only 11%.The pharmaceutical care process of OTC Chinese medicines for children is simple,and the missing contents are age,weight and medical history of children.The families of the sick children have a low opinion of chain pharmacies.Conclusion:Through field investigation,it was found that children’s over the counter Chinese patent medicine pharmaceutical care,special drugs are difficult to meet the daily needs,pharmaceutical care process and content is not perfect,professional pharmaceutical technical personnel quantity and quality of children with low,families lack of child safety of medicine use common sense,medicine for children lack of pharmaceutical care in our country related laws and regulations and other issues.In view of the above problems,the following Suggestions are put forward: setting up pharmaceutical care areas for special groups,strengthening the training of knowledge and skills related to children and Chinese patent medicine,and actively carrying out the children’s over-the-counter Chinese patent medicine pharmaceutical care;Strengthen the supervision of licensed pharmacists and control the number of chain pharmacies;Establish relevant laws and regulations on pharmaceutical care for children’s medicine use,To clarify the information of children’s medication,change the color and shape of children’s medication and strengthen the research and development of new medication.
