Based on the data analysis of the use of mind map in English teaching research at home and abroad,the mind map is very popular in the English teaching.And the present situation of English writing teaching in primary school is:students are lack of the overall thinking and framework structure,through the questionnaire and teacher interviews.After understanding the theory of mind map,this paper analyzes the feasibility of using mind map in English writing teaching,first understands the concept and characteristics of mind map,and points out the application principle,program principle,subject principle,guiding principle,cooperative principle,evaluative principle.Then the paper constructs the teaching mode of English writing based on mind map,Before writing,do some tools preparation,when writing,teachers stimulate students’ new thinking,and guide students to draw mind map,discuss and improve mind map.form a writing framework structure,and at last,students do write evaluation after writing.In practice,the evaluation scale of mind map and writing teaching is formed,and the experimental research demonstrates that the use of mind map in writing teaching optimizes the writing style,and promotes the common development of teachers and students.
