Dance is a special art form in which the body as the carrier. The dancer's body has been an important research object in dance teaching, training and performance. In addition to physiological functions, human body also has psychological factors such as emotion, thought, will, cognition and so on.It is a living organism with the ability to perceive, adjust, and change itself. The study of physical sensation can be explored from a variety of perspectives, including philosophy,soma-aesthetics,neuropsychology,pedagogy and so on.Based on the philosophical basis of the monism of body and mind,in the 19 th century,in Europe and the United States, emerged a way of exploring the relationship between body and mind, which is "awareness in action" and "movement with consciousness".The purpose is to fully mobilize the wisdom and perception of the operation of the human body, and attach importance to the present experience and internal experience.Based on the relevant practical experience and theoretical research contents of Somatics in improving body awareness, this study explores the influence of Body Mind Centering on body awareness of classical dance students.Taking the methods of literature, experiment and mathematical statistics as research methods, through intervention test and four kinds of measurement and evaluation methods, the measured data of experimental group and control group before and after intervention were statistically analyzed. It is concluded that the intervention of Body Mind Centering can improve the proprioception and self-evaluation of body awareness in the experimental group, but has no intuitionistic and obvious influence on the professional dance ability and movement pattern.
