Political ethics is a general term for the basic ideas of state governance, conduct of the ruler(or politician)and national subjects, national ethics, and ideal state or social form.Political ethics can be divided into political system ethics.the relationship ethics of political actors and the social political concept or ideals under the leadership of national political ideology. The social and political community should follow the corresponding ethical norms and moral principles in political relations, political behaviors and political ideals.Confucius is a famous philosopher.educator and thinker in ancient China. His political and ethical thoughts have had a profound influence on the traditional Chinese state governance.Later generations honored him as a "priest of the Most Holy Spirit."The Islamic philosopher Alfarabi inherited the ancient Greek moral ethics and idea philosophy, created the Islamic philosophy.and built a unique and harmonious political ethical philosophy for the Islamic world.which was praised by his compatriots as "Second tutor" after Aristotle Confucius and Farabi's political ethics have typical representations in their respective countries and are important spiritual wealth in the world. The political and ethical traditions represented by Confucius and the Islamic political and ethical traditions represented by Farabi have unique influences on Eastern politics and Middle Eastern politics.Comparing the political ethics of the two philosopher will help us better understand different cultural traditions. The thinkers of different social and historical backgrounds, the basic concepts of real state governance, political order construction and political ideals.help us to further cross-cultural deep-level exchange of ideas and academic researchThis thesis aims to explore three issues surrounding Confucius and Farabi's political ethics, namely, the conduct of the ruler(or politician)and the subjects of the state, the ethical mode of state governance, and the ideal state or social form. The first chapter analyzes the different political and ethical traditions represented by Confucius and Farabi on the discussion of the conduct of the rulers(or politicians)and the subjects of the state, and studies the issues of virtue and virtue that they focus on respectively. And from the ethics of virtue,Confucius and farabi compare the requirements of virtue of rulers and residents. The second chapter discusses the ethical paradigm of state governance, and compares the similarities and differences between Confucius's ritualism and Farabi's rule of law,and analyzes the differences in governance forms and similar values. The third chapter studies the different political and ethical traditions represented by Confucius and Farabi on the exploration of ideal countries or social forms,Both Confucius and Farabi are faced with serious social anomie, and the struggle for power undermines the original social order. They try to combine politics with ethics and achieve state governance through institutional design and order reconstruction. Both of these social systems require a virtuous "Holy King"or "Philosophic King" to rule and implement social ideals through their governance.Confucius hopes to establish an ethical state with a harmonious political order, while Alfarabi inherited the ancient Greek political tradition and tried to construct a moral city of justice.Alfarabi inherited the philosophical thoughts of classical philosophers and used"flowing theory" as the theoretical basis for the construction of political order. His social ideals are characterized by the unity of Islamic politics and religion. The rulers are not only religious leaders but also heads of state and prophets,During the pre-Qin period of princely disputes and rituals.Confucius proposed to reconstruct the ritual system of the Zhou Dynasty with the core of "benevolence" and the political order of"ritual".Farabi's political ethics tries to use the initial, monolithic, speculative ccgnitive attitudes and philosophical methods to carry out conceptual cognition and theoretical design of political ethics,to philosophize political ethics, and to regard morality as cognition. The object thus makes it have a knowledge and academic form:while Confucius values the theory of governing the country with morality, pays more attention to the practice of morality, seeks knowledge in practice, and his political ethics is both theoretical and practical, reflecting Confucianism emphasizes the characteristics of unity of knowledge and action.By comparing Confucius and Farabi's political ethics,it helps us to correctly understand the core values and characteristics of political ethics in different cultural traditions. In different forms,Confucius and Farabi attempt to clarify the importance and necessity of morality for the construction of political life, and propose their own construction plans. This thesis analyzes and compares the political ethics thoughts of different civilizations and cultures represented by Confucius and Farabi,in order to help to criticize the inheritance of the fine traditions in Chinese and foreign political ethics, and hopes to facilitate deep dialogue, promote comparative research and strengthen mutual understanding of civilization.
