Research On The Artistic Expression Of Folklore Documentaries

The combination of folk customs and documentaries is by no means the product of the new times,but it has awakened the unprecedented value of the times and cultural value at the moment.China has a vast territory,diverse forms of landforms,and a large number of ethnic groups have thus produced a vast folk culture.As a theme,folklore enriches the expression of documentary.At the same time,under the background of emphasizing cultural self-confidence and national self-confidence,the media people adhere to strong social responsibility and humanistic care,focusing on the dissemination and development of China’s excellent traditional culture.Folklore is chosen for its unique value in documentary creation.The transformation of the media environment into the creation of Folklore documentaries has brought enormous opportunities and new topics.Because of many complicated factors in the creative process and others,the Folklore documentary works are mixed,and it is difficult to exert the social value and aesthetic value of the folk documentary itself.Therefore,there is an urgent need for the creative level in the level of artistic level,ideological connotation,aesthetic height,and cultural expression.By use of relevant theories and methods in Folklore,Narratology,Art Theory,Anthropology,combines my own production experiences and the excellent custom-themed documentaries in the market as the study cases to provide reasonable Suggestions for the creation of the Folklore documentaryThe article conducts a study in four parts.The first chapter makes conceptional statements against custom-themed documentary and artistic expression.By reading and referring relevant theory monographs,it intensifies the perception and definition of the concepts like custom-themed documentary and artistic expression.Meanwhile,it puts forwards the existing problems in the course of producing and developing custom-themed documentaries.The second chapter explores the "Dramatized narration" treatment of Folklore documentaries in the form of content presentation.This chapter explains the Dramatized narration factors to express the character and character development direction to dig deep the cultural consciousness behind the folk customs,and discusses how the "Dramatized narration" material selection highlights the charm of folk customs.The third chapter studies the poetic creation of the expressive techniques of folk documentaries.This chapter will focus on the artistic expression of image and sound,and explore how the folk characteristics can be presented through poetic means.The fourth chapter focuses on the artistic conception of expression.Combined with the specific methods of imagerhetoric,this paper studies how the folk culture hidden under the surface of folk documentaries can realize the sublimation of artistic conception;This paper studies how the ideology behind folklore is further deepened by means of metaphor and symbol.The author believes that the application of film and television theory and aesthetic theory to the practice and creation of artistic expression in Folklore documentaries is to find an international way suitable for telling "Chinese stories";At the same time,it is also to avoid over-reliance on artistic techniques in the process of creating folk documentaries,so that the works go beyond the boundaries of reality;Creative practice combined with specific folk culture exploration is to solve the problem of the proliferation of homogeneous documentaries caused by single topic selection and rigid forms of expression in the creative process.
