| A large number of studies at home and abroad have shown that the existence of stigma in patients with mental illness is closely related to the rehabilitation of patients with mental illness and has a significant impact on the emotional experience and social interaction of patients with mental illness. This study took 91 inpatients with mental illness in the department of mental rehabilitation(open management ward)of wuxi mental health center as the research object, selected and evaluated by department doctors, nurses and case therapists,by using the "stigma scale","state and trait loneliness scale"and "social support rating scale",to investigate the situation of stigma, loneliness and social support level of inpatients with mental illness,to explore the factors affecting stigma, loneliness and social support of inpatients with mental illness, and to explore the correlation among stigma, loneliness and social support. In this study, standardized scales were used to measure and quantify hospitalized patients with mental illness:(1)Stigma is prevalent in inpatients with mental illness, and the level of stigma is high. There were significant differences in age, disease diagnosis, economic level and frequency of rehabilitation activities among hospitalized patients with mental illness.Middle-aged patients(35 to 50 years old)had slightly lower perception of demeaning discrimination than older(66 to 82 years old)and younger(18 to 34 years old)patients with mental illness.Anxiety disorders were associated with greater feelings of belittling and discrimination than schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. In terms of coping style of stigma, withdrawal style is significantly different between the sexes.Female patients are more likely to choose withdrawal, education, confidentiality, challenge and separation than male patients.Compared with unmarried patients, those who live alone or get divorced will adopt less stigma induction.Patients who participated in rehabilitation activities more frequently were more likely to weaken the frequency of stigma induction.(2)The loneliness rate of hospitalized patients with mental illness is very high, and the loneliness is obvious, and the existence of trait loneliness is greater than that of stateful loneliness. In terms of gender, the trait loneliness of male patients is higher than that of female patients. There was a significant difference in the duration of the patients’lonelines’s.The higher the frequency of rehabilitation activities in the hospital, the less significant the loneliness the patients felt, whether it was trait or stateful.(3)The social support of inpatients with mental illness is at a medium level, and the subjective support is successively greater than the support utilization and objective support. In terms of gender, there is a high tone of male patients in social support level, subjective support and support utilization than that of female patients, while in terms of objective support, female patients are more than male patients. In terms of age, both subjective and objective support of older patients were stronger than that of younger patients. From the perspective of disease diagnosis, social support of anxiety patients is higher than that of bipolar disorder patients, which in turn is higher than that of depression patients and schizophrenia patients.(4)There is indeed a close correlation between stigma and loneliness in hospitalized patients with mental illness. There was a significant negative correlation between discrimination and disparagement perception and trait loneliness;coping style of stigma secrecy and emotional experience of shame were significantly negatively correlated with stateful loneliness and trait loneliness.(5)There is a close correlation between stigma and social support in hospitalized patients with mental illness. There was a significant positive correlation between perceived belittling discrimination and social support and its each dimension. There was a prominent negative correlation between stigma perception’s withdrawal, challenge, dissociation dimension and support utilization, and the challenge dimension was also significantly negative correlated with social support.(6)There was a significant negative correlation between stateful loneliness and social support, and its dimensions apart from objecttive support, and there was a prominent negative correlation between trait loneliness, social support and its dimensions. |
