The key competencies of music discipline is one of the main values of music teaching reform,and it is also a new challenge faced by music teaching practice in the current era.In the philosophy of practical music education,"Music is the practice of human diversity" and the theoretical viewpoint of "taking music as culture" in ethnomusicology,the key competencies of music discipline revolves around "aesthetic perception","art performance" and "cultural understanding" The three dimensions aim to develop students' healthy aesthetic ability,excellent musical practice and creative ability through the appreciation of music and participation in artistic practice activities,establish confidence in music culture,and cultivate equal values of world music culture.The introduction part of this paper is a summary of the background,research purposes and significance of the research,related literature review and research methods,and defines and discriminates the core concepts such as "key competencies" and "cultural understanding".On this basis,the author elaborates on the cultural understanding paradigm of music teaching from three aspects.The first is a discussion of the reform and development of music education towards cultural understanding.As one of the main contents of the key competencies of music discipline,the formation and development of the music education concept that points to cultural understanding has been influenced by the social and cultural contexts of different periods.In this part,the author mainly discusses cultural understanding as the main trend of contemporary international music education development,cultural understanding is the basic way to reflect the diversity of music culture and cultural understanding is the basic elements that constitute the key competencies of music discipline.The second is the induction of the music teaching design method that points to cultural understanding.The introduction of the paradigm of music teaching culture means that educators should re-examine the music teaching process and rebuild their teaching.The author summarizes the design method of the reconstruction of the music as follows:from the design principle,the construction of the key competencies of the discipline should be the center;the design method should focus on the realization of the key competencies of the music discipline;the design of the teaching evaluation can drive the teaching practice.get on.The last part is the design of the music teaching practice towards cultural understanding.The author selects the specific course content in the existing music textbooks,designs and presents the music classroom teaching practice process from three different directions:the teaching practice of music appreciation,the teaching practice of singing performance and the teaching practice of music creation.In order to design a music classroom teaching process that is different from the previous and more accurate pointing to the key competencies of students to achieve this teaching goal.In short,the key competencies of music discipline provides a new perspective and direction for music teaching practice.The music education concept towards cultural understanding has become the leading value concept of music education in the new era,and its practice and development will also lead the music teaching to a new process..
