| With the booming development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language around the world,the demand for Chinese textbooks that are truly suitable for non-target language teaching environments has become increasingly apparent,and the study of the applicability of Chinese textbooks has become an important research direction in the academic world.This paper focuses on the teaching of Chinese at the primary stage of Thai Vocational College.Under the guidance of the principles for the preparation and the theory of evaluation of textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,combined with my teaching practice experience in Chanthaburi Technical College,Thailand,investigation and research on the applicability of the Chinese textbook." Chinese For Communication " is an elementary Chinese textbook for Thai Vocational College students.It is mainly used to improve the language skills and communicative competence of students at the elementary level of Chinese in Vocational Colleges.This paper evaluates the applicability of the textbook to Thai vocational colleges from the perspective of textbook contents and groups of textbook users,and puts forward some suggestions on its shortcomings.It is expected to provide some references for the preparation and use of Chinese textbooks for Thailand.This paper mainly discusses from the following seven parts:The introduction explains the background and significance of the topic,the research object,the research method and the research review;The first chapter is an overview of the applicability and compiling principles of teaching Chinese as a foreign language;The second chapter is the analysis of the contents of the textbook.This part analyzes the textbook structure,phonetics,vocabulary,grammar,text,exercises,and culture of " Chinese For Communication".The third chapter is an analysis of the group using the textbook.This part mainly describes the general situation of Chinese teaching in Thai vocational education and the characteristics of teachers and students who use the textbook in Chanthaburi Technical College.The fourth chapter is the appraisal of the applicability of the textbook.This part evaluates the applicability of the textbook in the Chinese teaching of the Thai Vocational College based on the principles and use of the textbook.The fifth chapter is the suggestions for the compilation and use of textbooks.This part puts forward some countermeasures based on the problems found in the analysis and evaluation of textbooks.The conclusion part is a summary of the research of this paper,and points out the innovations and deficiencies of this paper. |
