With the development of Chinese international education,the number and types of Chinese textbooks for foreigners are increasing.The research on the applicability of textbooks has become an important research direction to improve teachers’ teaching quality and student learning efficiency.Basing on the laws of second language acquisition,guided by the teaching theory of Chinese as a foreign language and an understandable Chinese input theory.this article aims at the actual learning situation of zero-based learners in Thai vocational schools.Combining with the teaching practice of the phangkhon commercial and Technological college(Pc-tech)in Thailand,the author starts from the teaching materials and the subjects who use to make the applicability inquiry of Chinese for Communication textbooks used during the teaching period.The inquiry mainly analyzes the applicability of Chinese for Communication teaching materials from both static and dynamic aspects.In terms of static aspects,it mainly analyzes the various elements that make up the teaching text of Chinese for Communication textbooks,pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,culture,texts,and exercises.By analyzing the elements,the author examines the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook and its own applicable value from different perspectives.In terms of dynamic aspect,it mainly analyzes the specific situations of the teachers and students using the Chinese for Communication teaching materials.The applicability of teaching materials is mainly reflected in the applicability of teaching materials and teachers,teaching materials and learners.The specific use of teaching materials by teachers and learners is the most intuitive embodiment of the the applicability of textbooks.Combining static analysis with dynamic analysis,the author believes that the Chinese for Communication textbook itself has obvious advantages and has the practical value of being used in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.However,the textbook is not universal,and it is less applicable to the students who the author taught in the school.In addition,the textbook cannotmeet the needs of all professional learners in all vocational colleges and vocational schools in Thailand at the same time.The teaching materials themselves still have defects.Through the exploration of the applicability of Chinese for Communication,the author proposes targeted countermeasures for its inadequacies,in order to provide some help for the improvement of the teaching materials.At the same time,the author also hopes that the inquiry can provide some useful reference for different learner’s textbook selection and preparation of specific materials.
