The history textbook is an important link between the concept and the implementation of history curriculum. So,as for the basic teaching material, the quality of the textbook is particularly important. Both of the South Korea and China are both belong to the East Asian culture circle and have similar historical background.Besides, both countries are adapting to the trend of world curriculum reform and keeping pace with the times. Therefore, these two countries can learn from each other in many ways, such as the reform of history education and the compilation of the textbooks. This paper selects "YueLu edition" of high school history textbooks of China and "Venus edition" of high school history textbooks of South Korea as the objects of comparison. The study found that there are great differences between the two textbooks.Including the writing style, structure arrangement and content. The textbook of China presents the "special history" with a unique perspective and broad vision, and the characteristics of highlighting the important content. The textbooks of South Korea show us a "general history",with the rigorous system and complete structure, and the characteristics of highlighting the comprehensiveness of the knowledge. The cause of these external differences can be found from the two countries' national conditions and history education goals, and so on.The development of history education should also set up the consciousness of globalization. These two countries also should combine their own national conditions and learning conditions to find out their own problems and the advantages of South Korea from these external differences which can use for reference in our education.Learning from each other and adopting the good points, avoiding the shortcomings.
