Mathematics and physics are both sciences that study the laws of nature, but they pay attention to different angles.Mathematics pays attention to the quantity and spatial form of things, while physics pays attention to the quality and movement changes of things. The unity of quality and quantity determines the dependence of mathematics and physics. In order to fully understand the influence of mathematical knowledge and thought methods on physics mechanics teaching of high school, this paper focuses on the relationship between mathematics and physics in mechanics teaching of high school, bases on the transport theory, and divides the influence of mathematics on mechanics teaching into positive transfer effect and negative transfer effect. This paper conducts systematic theoretical and practical research. In the part of theoretical research, the author summarizes the classification of positive and negative transfer of mathematics in mechanics teaching from the textbook and a large number of literature. In the practical research, three aspects are mainly studied at first, the mathematical knowledge and thought methods are involved in mechanics questions of the national curriculum standard paper in the past five years, hoping to grasp the emphasis of the investigation from the perspective of college entrance examination;Secondly, the author interviewed some teachers who are from different regions with different teaching ages, hoping to know their attention to my study theme and the difficulty of students' application from the perspective of teachers; Finally, according to the emphasis of the college entrance examination questions and the records of teachers 'interviews, the diagnostic examination papers were compiled to examine the different reactions of students to pure mathematical knowledge and the application of mathematical knowledge in physics,as well as the negative transfer of mathematics to physics. In this paper, literature analysis, interviews and diagnostic tests are used to study the specific impact of mathematics on mechanics teaching,so as to put forward effective strategies to promote the combination of mathematics and physics and improve teaching efficiency. The research shows that:(1)There are fewer examinations of some specific mathematical skills in college entrance examination, and more examinations are aboutthe ability to apply some mathematical thinking to solve physical problems.(2)In interviews with teachers,we find that most teachers acknowledge that the influence of mathematics on physics, but weakens the role of mathematics in physics. They have no systematic understanding of mathematical thought and pay less attention to negative transfer.(3)In the survey of students' diagnostic examination papers, the weak links of most students' mathematical knowledge include the recognition and significance of effective numbers, the decomposition and operation of vectors, the use of geometric relations in trigonometric functions, the positive and negative awareness of slope in images, etc. In mathematical thought, different levels students have to improve their awareness of the combination of figures. In the process of using images to solve problems, there are problems of difficult connection between physical formulas and mathematical functions. In function and equation thinking, physics is more complicated than pure mathematical knowledge because of the restriction of physical laws, which is easy to imagine for students. With poor logical thinking, however, the judgment of functional relationship is not supported by the idea of function.Fourthly,in terms of negative transfer, the negative transfer of symbols and the negative transfer of digital meanings have a greater impact on students. In addition to the negative transfer of mathematical knowledge, students are prone to negative transfer in problem solving steps.Based on the above research results, this paper provides some guidance for both teachers and students in mechanics teaching.
