As an important bridge connecting teachers and students,textbooks not only embody the essence of human civilization and knowledge,but also embody the level of education development in China.With the arrival of the era of visual culture,Arts textbooks with images as the main content are playing an increasingly prominent role in art education in schools.Because of its strong intuitiveness,artistry and richness,it is deeply loved by students.Therefore,this study mainly relies on the multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research methods in the study of visual culture,to study the image in the current Arts textbook of elementary school published by Jiangsu Education Press.Research combined with qualitative image analysis.First of all from the overall exploration of the current version of the current Arts textbook of elementary school published by Jiangsu Education Press in the basic overview of the image.On the one hand,based on structural analysis theory,the specific interpretation perspectives synthesize the image science,the esthetics form analysis,the artistic domain visual element and so on.Construct the dominant visual form aesthetic characteristics and theme content characteristics of the image.On the other hand,based on hermeneutics,this study excavates the implicit social and cultural significance of the image from the perspectives of ideology,feminism and semiotics.On the whole,from the surface to the deep layer,from the signifier to signified.Taking the image in the Arts textbook of elementary school published by Jiangsu Education Press as the research object of"visual nature".By connecting with students,this study constructs the explicit aesthetic characteristics and content characteristics of images in Arts textbook,and to explore the hidden value meanings conveyed in them.Finally,based on the current version of the current Arts textbook of elementary school published by Jiangsu Education Press in the image analysis,it sums up the characteristics of the textbooks include the rich visual image perception form beauty,understands the meaning of beauty with appropriate content,and the creation of beauty with internalized knowledge and emotion.And it puts forward the problems include a degree of preoccupation with rationality and sensibility,slightly stereotypical view of classical,some contents ignore the law of student development and have the tendency of static educational view.Then,for the problems in the image,the writer proposes optimization suggestions,including grasping the balance between rationality and sensibility,conveying the meaning of beauty,showing the style of the times,establishing a modern art concept,basing on student development,forming a dynamic education concept,etc.
