In recent years,STEAM education,as a new achievement in education reform and innovation,has gradually attracted the attention of all countries in the world.China has also begun to study the localization of STEAM education.However,in the process of basic education,the concept of STEAM education is raised to the teaching of STEAM courses.The relevant research at the level of suggestions and strategies is relatively rich,but the practical exploration at the micro level is lacking.Based on this,the research scope is positioned at the elementary school stage,and the research content focuses on the design of STEAM curriculum learning activities.Combining the theory of gamification learning,the research theme of gambling learning activities design for STEAM courses in elementary schools is established.The research used literature research methods and design-based research methods,combined with questionnaire surveys,interviews and other methods,mainly carried out the following three aspects of research work.First,the elements of the gamified learning activities of the STEAM course are determined.Activity theory points out that all human activities are carried out under the interaction of various activity elements.The STEAM course gamification learning activity is a special activity,and the activity element is the key to its operation.To this end,the elements of STEAM activities and game elements are integrated to obtain the elements of gamification learning activities of STEAM courses.Second,the design framework of the gamification learning activities of the STEAM curriculum in the elementary school is proposed,and the design requirements of each part are analyzed.The construction of the activity design framework is guided by the goals of the STEAM course,and the elements of the gamified learning activities of the STEAM course are the main lines of design.The design principle is to infiltrate the gamified design on the basis of maintaining the educational characteristics of STEAM and promote the goals of the activities Reached.Third,the application and revision of the design framework for the gamified learning activities of the STEAM curriculum in elementary schools.This part is mainly to apply the activity design framework,design activity cases,and carry out three rounds of iterative gamified learning activities.By implementing activities and evaluating the effects of activities,problems in the design framework are identified and corrected.Finally,through the comparison of pre-and post-test questionnaire survey data,it is proved that the gamified learning activities designed bythis framework are helpful to achieve the goals of the primary school STEAM curriculum,and at the same time,the effectiveness of the gamified learning activities design framework of the primary school STEAM curriculum is verified.The study combines gamified learning with STEAM education and provides new ideas for STEAM education research in the basic education stage.In addition,it clarifies the elements of the gamification learning activities of the STEAM curriculum,and proposes an effective design framework for the gamification learning activities of the STEAM curriculum in elementary schools,which provides a reference for the implementation of the STEAM curriculum in the elementary school stage.
