The investigation area is located in alashan area of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.In the early stage of the work,through the research and analysis of the previous work,it was found that the previous work in the survey area was mainly completed before the 1980 s and due to the limitation of geological theory,there was a lack of understanding and research on the metallogenic background,metallogenic types,metallogenic rules and metallogenic conditions in the area.The ground high precision magnetic survey has its unique function and superiority in geological and mineral exploration,especially in the determination of ore-controlling rock mass,strata,faults and the search for magnetic deposits.With the development of science,the precision of proton magnetometer has been gradually improved.Magnetic exploration will play a great role in geological prospecting.Therefore,it is of great significance to evaluate the mineral resources potential of the whole area to carry out ground high precision magnetic survey in the survey area.By carrying out ground high-precision magnetic survey method in the survey area,the processing and analysing of the measured data,from the study area 1:50,ground high-precision magnetic survey delta T polar contour map shows that the magnetic anomaly in this area is generally divided into three abnormal characteristics.The northern side of the survey area shows a large area of negative anomaly,with lump-shaped and banded strong magnetic anomalies.In the middle of the survey area,there are two large arc-shaped faults.Due to the demagnetization of the fault structure on the rock and stratum,a wide and slow negative magnetic anomaly zone is formed between the fault structures.The south of the survey area is the main distribution area of strong magnetic anomalies,which is mainly in the shape of clumps,ellipses,beads and strips.Combined with the results of geological mapping and soil survey,it was decided to carry out 1:10000 anomaly verification in balong bayin(HS11),sanheng endel(HS26 east)and wusugou(HS18),and finally determined the prospecting target area and prospecting prospect area.Through research and analysis,there are 59 ?T magnetic anomalies,and 9 interpretation structures.This paper has a further understanding of the metallogenic geological conditions and the distribution law of mineral resources in the investigated area,and has delineated three prospecting areas and optimized nine prospecting target areas,pointing out the direction for the future prospecting work.Therefore,the high-precision magnetic method has a significant effect in the geological survey of alashan area.
