Study Of Digital Technologies Application In Enterprise Decision Making

The progress of digitalization is essential to enterprises' success while digital technologies accelerates the growth of world economy.Their application in management plays critical role in establishing competitive advantage for enterprises.Decision making,as the nature of management,is more and more deeply affected by digital technologies,so it is imperative to study the application.This paper has employed case study method and investigated the application of digital technologies in S company,which is a multinational enterprise with a variety of businesses.The main idea of this paper is that,enterprises need to construct a whole management and decision-making system,including master data management system,process management system,database,data presentation and decision-making support model,and combining people and machine advantages in decision making.The link between systems and information synchronization is also vital to the successful application of digital technology.Enterprises should acquire and develop talents with both digital and business skills.Suited organization structure,culture,incentive policy,effective tools,processes and methods should also be developed.The application of digital technology would speed up the information collection and processing,expand the scope and present information with clearly structured format,which would help decision makers to identify problems and opportunities more quickly and accurately.Automated decision making is possible in some contexts which would contribute to avoid bias.The employment of digital technology in real-time dynamic monitoring and feedback is valuable for detecting effective solution,decision-making methods or model and generating knowledge.This would improve decision making,bring more opportunities and avoid loss.In digital era,there're also challenges in terms of culture,management,technologies and resources during making decision.This paper and the conclusion would be valuable references for other similar enterprises.
