With the continuous development of China's economy and construction, human activities are active, the consumption of various mineral resources is increasing day by day,and the development and smelting of mineral resources are springing up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.Mining and smelting produce a large number of abandoned slag, coupled with China's increasingly intense engineering construction activities, resulting in a large number of excavation, waste muck accumulation. The unreasonable accumulation of abandoned slag body forms high and steep slope, and geological disasters such as landslide and debris flow often occur under the action of extreme conditions, causing environmental damage and property loss. Most researchers devote themselves to the study of mountain hazards, but ignore the study of the high and steep slope of the abandoned slag accumulation body, for which we have paid a painful price. Therefore, the study of slag yard slope has great practical significance in engineering.Based on the project of "Yunnan Copper Co.,Ltd.Puji Slag Field Slope",this paper selects Puji Slag Field Deposit Slope as the research object. On the premise of sufficient data collection, field survey and laboratory test methods are adopted to determine the physical and mechanical parameters of the site's rock and soil mass and summarize the main factors affecting the stability of the slag field deposit slope. The geomechanical model of instability failure of the accumulation body slope in Puji slag field was preliminarily determined, and the stability and stress-strain characteristics of the slope in Puji slag field were studied by using Bishop and three-dimensional fast Lagrange method. The main achievements and understanding of the paper were as follows:1)According to the rigid body limit equilibrium theory, the stability of the typical section of the slag dump body slope is analyzed, and it is concluded that the stability of all sections of the slag field slope is in a basically stable state under the natural state, but the safety reserve is insufficient.Under the condition of flooding, the slope of the second to the third platform in Section 4#,Section 8#and Section 7#is basically stable, but its stability coefficient is less than Ks=1.3,and the safety reserve is insufficient. The stability coefficients of the other sections are all in the limit equilibrium state, which is easy to destabilise under extreme conditions, and slide along the sliding surface leads to landslide collapse.2)Three-dimensional fast Lagrange method(FLAC3D)was used to establish a three-dimensional numerical model of the slag field area, and it was concluded that the slope of the slag field accumulation body was basically stable in the natural state, but the safety reserve was insufficient.Xishan Detention Center and Kunming Sanyang Fertilizer Co.,Ltd.are relatively stable and have no shear stress concentration phenomenon.Hetian phosphate fertilizer plant is located in the area of high shear stress concentration, which is in the understable state, and is prone to geological disasters under extreme conditions,so there are certain safety risks to hetian phosphate fertilizer plant.3)The safety grade of the slag yard accumulation body slope is level 1,and the safety reserve of the slope is insufficient. The treatment measures combining slope rate method and retaining can be used to set retaining wall at the foot of the slope.4)According to the displacement monitoring results, the current situation of the surrounding wall and the monitoring points near the road is relatively stable.Under the current situation, the overload of the slag field has limited influence on the surrounding environment, and there is no necessary connection between the cracks on the Puji-Salang Highway and the slag field.
