After earthquake and volcano, landslide is the third natural disaster that greatly threats the construction work as well as human life and propriety. Because of the high-speed development of the economy and the increasing frequency of the construction work, the problem of landslide becomes more and more obvious in China where the landside is widely distributed almost all over the provinces. As a result, in order to prevent and reduce this disaster, the research that stability analysis of the landslide is necessary. The combination the geological environment with engineering practical conditions of the landslide of Tiantai mountain Lancaozi, this paper analyzes the basic characteristics and causes of the landslide, and does some experiments of the soil. At the same time, the Bishop method, Wang Fulai method, Morgenstern-Price method and unbalanced thrusting force method among rigid body limit equilibrium method are used to back analyze the mechanical properties of slip soil and calculate the thrusting force. In order to obtain reliable parameters, the author introduces the FLAC method to analyze the stability of the two sections of the landslide, and associates FLAC method with strength reduction method to calculate landslide stability safety factor. In addition, the paper also calculates the soil pressure based on the Rankine method and the method of the foundation for building design standards. According to the study, the main following conclusions are concluded:(1)The test results of soil and landslide engineering examples survey of Sichuan province indicate that there are lots of differences between the design parameters provided by geological survey report and the test results of the paper, and the slip...
