KY company is a state-owned enterprise in the geological exploration industry,it has used mixed operation of state-owned enterprises and public institutions long time and lacks a manag ement concept.Against the background of the current state-owned enterprise reform,KY compa ny faces several critical challenges for market competition,the current salary system cannot me et the current and future development needs of KY company,and the employees’ satisfaction wi th the salary has continued to decrease.Therefore,a salary system with the commercialization background is urgently needed,and it could address the existing challenges and improve the cu rrent salary system.Firstly,this paper presents an analysis of the current research status of domestic and foreig n about salary systems,this analysis especially focuses on the adaptability,advantages and disad vantages of broadband salary theory and salary point system both.Then,a questionnaire is desi gned to explore the current salary state in the geological exploration industry,the result shows the salary of KY company is at a low level.Through literature review and survey,the existing problems such as unreasonable salary system structure,redundant department settings,the poor performance of incentives,etc.in the current KY company salary system are pointed out.For dealing with these problems,considering the advantages of broadband salary theory and salary point system both.This paper redesigns the current KY company salary system by combining t he broadband salary theory and salary point system to focus on streamlining departments,reduc ing management levels and flattening organizational structure.According to the redesign of KY company salary system,the new system provides a better solution for existing challenges in the current salary system.It satisfies the need for KY comp any in market competition,improves the incentive effect of salary on employees,and provides employees with a choice of different promotion ways.Moreover,the new system strongly suppo rts the development strategy of KY company.
