The charging of burden is a main method of regulating gas flow distribution,which has an important influence on the production of COREX melting gasifier.Choosing a reasonable burden distribution mode can maximize the gas utilization rate and achieve the goal of high quality,low consumption,high yield and burden descend.Metallurgists have done detailed studies about the model of blast furnace burden distribution,but little research has been done in COREX melting gasifier.Based on the blast furnace burden distribution and physical experiment results of COREX melting gasifier,this paper studies the burden distribution process in the COREX melting gasifier.Considering the characteristics of high stockline and small charge batch,a new idea has been put forward that the burden grows with the method of burden trajectory width,and burden distribution prediction model suitable for COREX melting gasifier is established.At the same time,based on the stock-line profile formation model the burden descending model has been established,the model can study the effect of different charging patterns,different descending velocity and different dead-man heights on the burden profiles.It can also analyze the distribution of ore/coal,which can provide reference for the burden distribution of site.The results show that the whole burden profiles are generally high in the middle and low in the edge,which seem like steamed bread and meet the actual burden distribution.The ratio of ore to coal is in good agreement with the results of physical experiments,and the model can accurately predict the burden distribution process.In addition,the study shows that the burden profiles are affected by the initial burden profiles and the charging patterns.The burden profiles of coal charging radius larger than ore are the most inclined,the charging patterns of coal charging radius similar to the ore are relatively smooth and the burden profiles of coal charging radius smaller than ore are in between.The three charging patterns,which are the charging patterns of coal charging radius larger than ore,coal charging radius smaller than ore and coal charging radius similar to the ore,show that ore/coal reaches a peak at 4000?4500 mm from the center of the gasifier.The ore/coal of the first two charging patterns increases first and then decreases after 2000 mm,and the last one has another peak near 1700 mm.Furthermore,according to the burden descending model,the influence of the descending velocity on the burden profiles is studied,and the results are concluded as follows:the smaller the velocity difference is,the smoother the burden profiles are.When the speed of the burden changes suddenly,the burden profiles drop rapidly and the burden layers become thinner.The burden profiles may collapse.It is found that the height of deadman has little effect on the burden profiles through the model prediction results.
