Mondrian’s painting language is well known by the world due to its high simplicity and visual enjoyment.Since 1926 it has become more and more influential and is welcomed by both designers and consumers.In recent years,it is not uncommon for many designers to apply classic art works’ features in their designing,and their ideas have achieved great economic benefits.This article aims to get a clearer understanding of the characteristics and psychological needs of consumers in Chinese perfume marketplace by using several different methods,including literature reading,case analysis,questionnaires.This paper further examines the impact of Mondrian’s painting language and the necessity of application,trying to find a way to design a perfume bottle which integrate into Mondrian’s painting language and satisfy consumers’ pursuit of the combination of perfume smell and aesthetic needs.This paper is meant to inspire other designs who work in the beauty products industry and find an innovative way to fulfil consumers’ aesthetic needs.
