MBBR biological treatment process, known as moving Bed Bio-film Reactor(MBBR),is one of the most popular wastewater treatment processes at present. It not only integrates the traditional biofilm and activated sludge process, but also has the following characteristics:(1)It has a high treatment load for organic matters;(2)It has a high treatment load for organic matters. The aeration tank has relatively small volume and simple structure, which reduces the construction cost and operation management cost. The production of residual sludge in this process is low, which reduces the difficulty of subsequent sludge treatment. The MBBR process USES granular suspended biological fillers, which have high film hanging efficiency, good treatment effect, long service life and no need to build a filler scaffold. It can be directly put into the biochemical treatment tank for use, which can improve the treatment efficiency and effectively reduce economic expenditure, thus facilitating maintenance and management. Therefore, with its unique advantages, this technology can occupy a place in the future field of sewage treatment. This project adopts the way of combining laboratory test and engineering design to conduct in-depth research on the practical application of MBBR process.Through small test and practical engineering research, the following main conclusions can be drawn:(1)Under the condition of appropriate aeration rate and hydraulic retention time, the filler input is an important parameter that affects the treatment effect of MBBR process. The treatment effect of the test was evaluated comprehensively, and the cost was taken into account. Finally,it was concluded that the optimal filler volume was 20%.(2)The optimal output amount obtained by the small test was used to modify the actual project. After the modification by adding suspended fillers to the aerobic pool, the effluent COD index concentration was below 30mg/L,the effluent ammonia nitrogen index concentration was below 1mg/L,and the optimal hydraulic retention time of the reactor was shortened from 6h to 5h.(3)Compared with the activated sludge process, the COD removal rate and ammonia nitrogen removal rate increased by about 20% and 30% after the MBBR process was upgraded. Moreover, the MBBR process has the advantages of simple operation process, easy operation, maintenance and management, and no need to expand the pool capacity.
