| In recent years,with the rapid development of urbanization,the ecological and environmental problems have become increasingly prominent.Therefore,how to protect the ecological environment while improving the level of urbanization has become an issue of increasing concern today.With the initiative of the Silk Road Economic Belt Initiative,the focus on building the northwestern region of China has become the trend of the country.However,the rapid development of the northwest region has brought about a series of ecological and environmental problems.Therefore,it is of great significance to study how to achieve coordinated development of urbanization and ecological environment for its healthy and sustainable development in the northwest region.The paper takes 18 cities in the northwest China as the research object.According to the regional urbanization reality and the ecological environment characteristics,the urbanization and ecological coupling coordination evaluation index composed of 12 urbanization indicators and 12 ecological environment indicators is constructed,and the cities are collected and organized.2007-2016 Urbanization and Eco-environmental Data,processed and used to calculate weights using the entropy method.Using the comprehensive development formula and the coupled model to obtain the urbanization,ecological environment comprehensive development index and the coupling degree and coupling coordination degree between urbanization and ecological environment,and use the obstacle model to obtain the main obstacle indicators affecting urbanization and ecological environment.On this basis,the spatial distribution maps of urbanization,ecological environment,coupling degree and coupling coordination degree of 18 cities in2007,2011 and 2016 were drawn by Arc GIS10.3 software.From the time,space and influencing factors,the urbanization and ecological environment of 18 cities in the northwest were analyzed,which directly reflected the characteristics of urbanization and ecological environment coupling in 18 cities in the northwest.The results show:(1)In terms of time,the comprehensive urbanization level of 18 cities in the northwest region in 2007-2016 is generally on the rise,and the comprehensive index of ecological environment development is generally declining.The coupling degree of urbanization and ecological environment is generally on the rise,and the coupling degree of urbanization and ecological environment is increasing first,then decreasing and then rising,showing a typical stage.(2)Spatially,the urbanization level of 18 cities in the northwest region in 2007,2011 and 2016 is in the middle and upper middle,mainly located Xi’an,Lanzhou in thesoutheastern,and northwestern Urumqi and Karamay.The cities in the middle and lower areas are mainly located in the northwest and the central part,mainly in Korla,Hami,Tianshui and Wuwei.The cities with better ecological environment quality are mainly distributed in Tianshui City in the southeast.The medium-sized cities are mainly distributed in the central and southeastern regions,mainly Yinchuan,Wuwei,Xianyang and Baiyin.The cities in the middle and lower directions are mainly distributed in the central and northwestern regions,mainly including Zhangye,Jiuquan,Urumqi,and Karamay.The poor cities are mainly distributed in the northwest,mainly in Turpan and Hami.The degree of coupling coordination is a spatial pattern with a high southeast and a low northwest.(3)In terms of influencing factors,the main obstacle factors affecting the urbanization level of 18 cities in the northwest region are per capita GDP,the proportion of the secondary industry in GDP,the total retail sales of social consumer goods and number of health technicians.The main obstacle factors affecting the quality of the ecological environment are the green coverage rate of the built-up area the per capita park green area,the water use rate,and the gas penetration rate. |
