Factors Affecting Construction Safety Management Cost

The main purpose behind this study was to know the impact of human safety intervention on construction safety management costs the study also aimed to know the impact of technical safety intervention on construction safety management costs another important aim of the study was to know the impact of management safety intervention on construction safety management costs.This study took construction safety behavior as a mediator.In order to find out the impact of human,technical and management safety intervention on the safety management cost in construction,in the presence of the mediating impact of construction safety behavior,data was collected by the author from 388 people associated with construction industry in Pakistan.This study also proposed some hypothesis for the sake of testing and getting valid conclusion.This study is purely a quantitative study by nature.It involves individuals related to construction industry.Different kinds of tests like,confirmatory factor analysis,KMO and Bartlett’s test,convergent and discriminant validity and structural equation modeling were run on these included variables to get maximum level of satisfactory results.By the different kinds of tests,the results of the hypothesis has been derived which are that,human safety intervention has significant and positive impact on construction safety management costs and the impact of technical safety intervention on construction safety management costs was positive and this hypothesis was accepted as well and the mediating role of construction safety behavior was also positive between all the given independent variables and dependent variables of this study.The study will change the safety management practices at the construction sites of Pakistan most probably and the study is also limited in case of its sample size,its boundaries and focused industry.
