Since the reform and opening up,China’s urbanization development has progressed by leaps and bounds.By the end of 2019,the urbanization rate of China’s permanent resident population has exceeded 60%.However,in this process,a series of ecological and environmental problems such as nature resource depletion,air pollution and waste pollution have become increasingly prominent.Meanwhile,the chocking environment problems conversely restricts the speed and quality of urbanization development.Facing the prominent contradiction,the Communist Party of China attaches great importance to the construction of "ecological civilization".The coordinated development of urbanization and the eco-environment has become an important content of the construction of ecological civilization.Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,as the new national strategic highland,undertakes the important national strategic task of building China’s fourth future economic growth pole and an ecological security zone in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,the research on the coupling and coordination of urbanization and eco-environment has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the sustainable development of Chengdu-Chongqing region and fully realizing the national strategic target.Based on the panel data of urbanization and eco-environment development in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle from 2009 to 2018,this paper takes 16 cities in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle as the research objects,and uses the global entropy method and the coupling coordination degree model to evaluate the coupling coordination relationship between urbanization and eco-environment in ChengduChongqing Economic Circle and discusses the countermeasures.The results show that :(1)Both the urbanization development level and the eco-environment development level of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle have improved from 2009 to 2018,but the ecoenvironment development level is generally higher than the eco-environment,and the internal differences of eco-environment development level is smaller.The phenomenon of "dual core independence" in Chengdu and Chongqing is prominent,and the polarization effect of the core cities is greater than the radiation effect.(2)From 2009 to2018,the coupling coordination degree between urbanization and eco-environment in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle has been improved,but there is an obvious spatial differentiation,showing the characteristics of "strong in the core,weak in the middle and periphery".According to the level of coupling coordination,the 16 cities in ChengduChongqing Economic Circle are divided into five types of coordinated development:good coordination–eco-environment lag,intermediate coordination-balanced development,intermediate coordination-urbanization lag,primary coordinationurbanization lag and reluctant coordination-urbanization lag.(3)Based on the development status of Chengdu-Chongqing region and the evaluation results of coupling coordination,this paper puts forward countermeasures to promote the coordinated development of cities in Chengdu-Chongqing region from the overall perspective of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and from the perspective of cities with different coordinated development types. |
