Research On Innovative Design Of Nuo Cultural Elements In Ceramic Decoration In Western Jiangxi Province

As a representative of intangible cultural heritage in Jiangxi Province,Nuo culture of western Jiangxi is highly expressive and aesthetic in art creations.Thereby,Nuo culture has earned western Jiangxi the reputation of "Land of Nuo Art in China".Nuo culture of western Jiangxi exhibits its artistic value through forms,such as Nuo Mask,Nuo Dance and Nuo Temple.Additionally,the story and connotation behind every Nuo cultural work are delivered through exaggerating styles,bold color use,and simple processing.Thereby,the author proceeds from Nuo cultural elements of western Jiangxi,and applies the unique cultural connotations of Nuo culture and ceramic decorations together to innovative design.This can not only be an inheritance of Nuo culture of western Jiangxi,but also an enrichment of expression forms of modern ceramic decorations.By studying the cultural origin,development,and cultural characteristics of Nuo culture of western Jiangxi,and application cases of ceramic decorations,art expression forms of Nuo culture of western Jiangxi,including Nuo Mask,Nuo Dance,and Nuo Temple,are summarized.Furthermore,feasibility of applying Nuo culture of western Jiangxi to ceramic decorations for innovation is explored through design practice of daily ceramic products.Modern design of Nuo cultural elements of western Jiangxi is discussed from the perspective of ceramic product styles,color applications,decorative patterns,and processing.Finally,theoretical and experimental cases are provided for innovative product design integrating cultural elements of Nuo culture of western Jiangxi.Besides,new thinking on how to inherit and promote Nuo culture of western Jiangxi is summarized.
