Research Of The South Song Dynasty Yue Kiln ——Take The Zhangjiadi Kiln As An Example

Yue kiln has a pivotal position in the history of Chinese porcelain.Regarding the decline time of Yue kiln,the mainstream view in the academic circles is that it was in the late Northern Song Dynasty.The latest archaeological data prove that the Yue kiln did not keep going downhill after the late Northern Song Dynasty,but gained innovative development in the early Southern Song Dynasty.This article takes the physical materials unearthed in Zhangjiadi kiln as the research object,using literature research,field archaeological investigation of the kiln site,analogy analysis of archeological physical materials,research methods of kiln furniture,combined with the artifacts unearthed in the same period from adjacent kiln The comparative study aims to determine the position of the Zhangjiadi kiln in the history of Yue kiln porcelain,and the inheritance and innovative development of the craftsmanship of the Yue kiln in the Southern Song Dynasty.Through the comparative analysis of the porcelain unearthed in Zhangjiadi kiln,it is found that the similar types of ware unearthed from the traditional Yue kiln celadon and the innovative opal-glazed celadon are basically similar in shape,size,and firing method.The shapes of some unearthed artifacts reflect that the use of Yue kiln products in the Southern Song Dynasty can be divided into daily porcelain,literati porcelain and ceremonial porcelain.The craftsmanship of the celadon porcelain at the Zhangjiadi kiln site generally inherits the craftsmanship from the Five Dynasties to the Song Dynasty,with rich and diverse patterns and mature flower carving techniques.The opalescent glaze porcelain is mostly plain,the glaze is moist,and the glaze is blue-green.It has a different appearance and unique shape from the traditional Yue kiln celadon.In terms of kiln furniture,the emergence of cakes,supporting nails,and T-shaped utensils meet the needs of firing specific products.The author compares the Zhangjiadi kiln site with the upper layer accumulation of the Dilingtou kiln site and the unearthed artifacts from the sixth phase of the Silongkou kiln site.The porcelain unearthed at the three kiln sites are very similar."Di Lingtou type" is a type of porcelain produced in Yue kilns during the Southern Song Dynasty.The innovative development of Zhangjiadi Kiln also had a positive and far-reaching influence on the establishment of the Southern Song Dynasty official kiln.The author compares the Zhangjiadi kiln site with the upper layer accumulation of the Dilingtou kiln site and the unearthed artifacts from the sixth phase of the Silongkou kiln site.The porcelains unearthed at the three kiln sites are very similar,and the lower age limit should reach the early and mid-South Song Dynasty.Lingtou type" highquality thick-glazed opal-glazed celadon with gray and black tires is a type of porcelain commonly produced in Yue kilns during the Southern Song Dynasty.This type of celadon was once used as court porcelain and ceremonial porcelain in the early Southern Song Dynasty.
