Effect Of Sacral Hiatus Injection On Gait Of Patients With Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective:To quantitatively analyze the curative effect of sacral hiatus injection in patients with lumbar disc herniation by using three-dimensional gait analysis system,and to provide objective basis for the sacral hiatus injection in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods:A total of 20 patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH)were enrolled and the kinematics data of all patients were collected by using the three-dimensional gait analysis system before sacral hiatus injection,1 week after the first sacral hiatus injection and 1 week after the second sacral hiatus injection.The patients were required to walk at a comfortable speed of more than 5 meters within the prescribed route on the flat ground for a total of 4 times,and tested with Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)scores,Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)scores,Roland Morris scores and VAS scores.SPSS 26.0 software was used to statistically analyze the scale scores and kinematics data of the patients.Results:1.After the sacral hiatus injection,the total scores of the Oswestry Disability Index were increased,and the JOA score,Chinese R-M score and VAS score were decreased(P<0.05),and improved after the second sacral hiatus injection compared with the first treatment(P<0.05).2.The patient’s kinematic data including step length,stride length,walking cycle,pace and support phase percentage,hip flexion range(ROM),knee flexion range(ROM),ankle flexion range(ROM)and joint movement speed was improved,the second and the sacral hiatus injection treatment distance and time parameter is improved more significantly after the first treatment,but the parameters of time and space after the second treatment has no obvious improvement;3.Correlation analysis showed that joint motion velocity was significantly correlated with VAS score(P<0.05).Conclusion:The results of this study showed that the scores of functional scale of lumbar disc herniation and gait parameters were improved compared with those before treatment,indicating that sacral hiatus injection can significantly relieve the pain of patients with lumbar disc herniation,further improve abnormal gait,and improve the quality of life of patients.In addition,the motion velocity of each joint was significantly correlated with the VAS score,indicating that the more severe the pain was,the slower the joint motion velocity was.
